Investing in a company for Brazilian residency

Put money into a Brazilian company (minimum R$500,000, fixed in reais) and receive permanent residency immediately, provided the capital stays in place for three years. In 2025 there were 235 approvals, led by Chinese (92), European (101) and American (21) investors. Legal basis: RN 46/2018.

In 2025 Brazil approved 512 individual investor-residency cases from 45 countries — Real Estate 273, Company 235, and 4 via the startup route (19 over the full 2021–Feb 2026 pilot). Every figure is read from Brazil's official record (Diário Oficial da União, MigranteWeb, CNPJ).
