2018–2026 · Foreign Investment in Brazil
2,792 investors chose Brazil since 2018. Almost none took the best deal.
Brazil grants residency by investment through three routes that diverge sharply on cost and outcome: the real-estate route (R$1,000,000, temporary then permanent), the company route (R$500,000, permanent), and the startup route (R$150,000, permanent — the same outcome at under a third of the cost, yet barely used). This dashboard tracks all of them across every year of the program, with a summary page per year and a live feed of new DOU approvals.
From 2018 through June 2026 Brazil approved 2,792 individual investor-residency cases from 93 countries — Real Estate 1,138, Company 1,630, and just 24 via the startup route. Every figure is read from Brazil's official record (Diário Oficial da União, MigranteWeb, CNPJ registry). 2025 is the curated final year (516 approvals); other years are provisional pending review, and 2026 (Jan–Jun) updates daily.
